RTAF backs Burapha Force with air strikes destroying Cambodian depots opposite Sa Kaeo, as army vows to pre-empt PHL-03 launchers and secures Prasat Khana

At 4.09pm on December 13, 2025, the First Army’s Operations Centre reported that the Burapha Task Force, together with the RTAF, carried out two air missions targeting:

• an arms and ammunition warehouse, and
• air-defence communications systems

on the Cambodian side opposite Ban Nong Ya Kaeo and Ban Nong Chan.

Army vows to destroy PHL-03 if deployed in disputed areas

The Thai military has also warned that if it detects PHL-03 multiple rocket launchers deployed by Cambodia in disputed areas, it will immediately destroy them without waiting for Cambodian forces to fire first.

At the 4pm briefing at the Joint Press Centre on the Thai–Cambodian Situation, Defence Ministry spokesman Rear Admiral Surasan Kongsiri said there was no report yet of Cambodian PHL-03 launchers being deployed around Preah Vihear.

“If we detect PHL-03 in disputed areas, the Thai armed forces will strike the target immediately, without waiting for Cambodia to open fire,” he said, adding that Thailand has sufficient precision-strike capability to hit such systems.

Notebook evidence of mine-laying to be used in diplomatic push

Army deputy spokeswoman Colonel Nuchrawee Jamjamras confirmed that the army has seized a Cambodian notebook containing minefield coordinates, along with other evidence of new mine and IED emplacement.

She said:

• all evidence and coordinates from the notebook have been collected and sent to the relevant security units for verification
• areas suspected of containing landmines or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) are now under Thai control, pending engineer clearance

The information from seized mobile phones and operation logs will also be forwarded to the Foreign Ministry, she added, to be used to:

• show the international community that Cambodia is still using anti-personnel landmines, and
• underline that such actions violate international treaties and have injured Thai soldiers.

Thailand secures Prasat Khana and destroys Cambodian supply bridge

Colonel Nuchrawee said Prasat Khana in Surin province is one of 13 key objectives targeted for full control. Cambodian forces had resisted, but:

“As of this evening, we have 100% control of Prasat Khana and have destroyed a bridge used by Cambodian troops to move forces into the area,” she said, urging the public to be confident in the army’s control of the situation.

Behind the front line, the army is working closely with other agencies to:

• manage and support evacuation centres,
• assist more than 400,000 affected civilians, and
• address the impact on livelihoods, lost income and worries over homes left behind.
